Property Tax Appeals

Every year, the county assesses every parcel to determine the tax liability of every property. In August, the county mails out Notices of Proposed Property Taxes (TRIM notice) to all property owners. These notices include the assessed value of the property and the proposed taxes due from the homeowner.

You might be overpaying on your taxes if you believe your property has been overvalued. You can appeal your property taxes in court, and the best way to defend your claim is to perform a RETROACTIVE APPRAISAL. A retroactive appraisal is completed as of January 1st of the current tax year and analyses market data from that time period. These appraisals are the best way to prove a more accurate valuation of your home and can help win your tax appeal case.
